After two bachelorette trips, I’ve realized the following: of course celebrating the bride is the number one priority but it’s the two or three friend groups colliding that makes for an epic weekend. One bachelorette was in Miami and the other one was in Kelowna, BC. Even though the setting was different, and ultimately made for a different experience, the feeling I left with at the end of the weekend was the same for both ones; her friends are AWESOME. As a bride, you really don’t know what will happen when you put all the people you love the most in the same room, let alone for a full weekend of partying and celebrating well… you – the bride. But the thing they all have in common and ultimately bonds them is the beautiful bride they are celebrating. My favorite thing from both of these weekends was listening to hilarious war stories of my friends at different stages in their lives, and having a sense of appreciation that everyone present somehow helped shape the friend you love so much. I am so in awe of all the amazing ladies I met last month – they are like little puzzle pieces of my dear friends, and now I understand them a little bit better.

One of the amazing things I got to do during one of these stagettes was visit the Mission Hill Winery. The Okanagan Valley is like the Canadian Napa Valley if you will and it should definitely be on your bucket list. The views, the lakes, the wineries. Heaven. And if you go, I highly recommend visiting this gem of a winery; the service is top notch, the food is impeccable and the views are unbeatable. After many, many wine tastings, the winery hosted a private lunch overlooking the vineyards and lake. I really doesn’t get much better tbh. Must do if you’re in the area, worth every penny!

So to all the ladies attending or planning upcoming bachelorettes… get to know your friend’s other besties – chances are you’ll love them just as much as the bride does and it’ll make for an even more epic wedding cause you’ll have a few new dancing partners 😉 OH YES, we got downn in Miami.
